My all-round Background
My orientation and training is predominantly Systemic and Psychodynamic, however, I also employ aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), short-term psychodynamic work and Trauma therapy and SensoriMotorPsychotherapy.
Experience as an expat
My approach to therapy is informed not only by my training in Clinical Psychology, Systemic Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy but also my background as an expat myself and my background in and passion for literature, sculpture, spirituality and philosophy – a blend that I feel pays tribute to the depth, meaning, and art of life.
I have a strong appreciation for our uniqueness as individuals, and as a result I do not feel there is one ‘correct’ form of intervention, but rather that the intervention will be guided by what you are specifically needing.
Expert and International
I consider personal development as a process in which you are constantly confronted with a reality that you may or may not want or be able to adapt to. For me, it has meant that I have been able to seize opportunities both in the Netherlands and throughout my life and work in France. I have had the chance to study and master a wide range of methods and techniques, which have shaped me professionally and personally.
I am a registered healthcare psychologist, a child and adolescent psychologist recognized by the Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP), a systemic therapist, a supervisor, and a training therapist for systemic therapists in training. I am also an EFT therapist, an EMDR Practitioner Europe, a coach, a (cross-border) mediator, and a trainer.
