Compassion-Focused Approach

The Compassion Focused Theory uses the model of emotion regulation, in which three systems are distinguished, The Danger, the Chasing and the Care, or Calming System. Often these three are out of balance, so that we experience too much stress and do not know how to regain balance. Gaining more insight into how the three systems relate to each other and how you can achieve more balance creates renewed resilience and a different view of the same situation. This approach uses meditation and compassionate practices.
